Travel Nevada to Host Tenant & Tour Operator Workshop for New Boulder City Adventure Center

BOULDER CITY, NV — Travel Nevada will host a Tenant & Tour Operator Workshop on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce for businesses interested in leasing space at the new Nevada Adventure Centers in Boulder City.

Travel Nevada has announced two Adventure Centers — one in Boulder City and another in Carson City. Expected to open in early fall 2026, the Boulder City Adventure Center is an all-new hub designed to connect visitors with southern Nevada’s outdoor experiences. Serving as a basecamp for tour operators and outfitters, the center will provide trip-planning resources, safety and conservation information, and direct connections to guided tours, gear, and other adventure services — all supported by Travel Nevada’s statewide marketing to drive year-round traffic.

“Our Adventure Centers represent an innovative new way to connect people with Nevada’s incredible outdoor recreation assets,” said Rafael Villanueva, CEO of Travel Nevada. “By combining resources at the federal, state, and community level, these centers will serve as true gateways to exploration and will help further grow the tremendous economic impact of tourism to our state. We invite local businesses to be part of this effort and look forward to seeing them at the Tenant & Tour Operator Workshop.”

The Nevada Adventure Centers will offer leasing opportunities for businesses seeking to reach a highly engaged audience of adventure travelers. Tenants will have the chance to showcase their services through interactive displays, demo areas, and co-branded marketing campaigns, creating direct connections with visitors eager to explore the region.

The Boulder City location was selected for its accessibility to Lake Mead and southern Nevada’s outdoor opportunities. Travel Nevada’s other Adventure Center in Carson City will be adjacent to the Nevada State Railroad Museum. Together, the projects represent close to $7 million in investment on existing state-owned land.

“The Nevada Adventure Center in Boulder City will open new doors for tour operators and businesses to connect directly with visitors seeking authentic outdoor experiences,” Jill Rowland-Lagan, CEO of the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce. “This is a tremendous opportunity for the southern Nevada business community to showcase its expertise, expand its reach, and become an integral part of the state’s growing outdoor recreation economy.”

Outdoor recreation continues to be a driving force in Nevada’s tourism economy. In 2024, outdoor recreation spending increased by about $100 million, reaching $1.8 billion. Visitation to Nevada State Parks, Great Basin National Park, and Lake Mead National Recreation Area totaled 10.5 million in 2024, an increase of about 2.9% from 2023.
