New ads debut in summer/fall 2019: Nevada — all roads lead to freedom

Travel Nevada’s new 30-second commercial spot and animated digital ads began running in August 2019, featuring Cathedral Gorge, Black Canyon and other rural destinations, along with urban scenes from downtown Las Vegas. Designed to raise awareness of Nevada as well as change outmoded perceptions of the state, the new creative focuses on the sense of freedom and adventure that is found here. The commercial is airing in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Nevada’s other drive markets along with Houston and Boise, cities with direct flights into Nevada. It eventually will be remixed to include video taken in early September at Ward Charcoal Ovens State Historic Park, the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City and other northern Nevada locations. The animated digital ads, featuring content that matches the commercial, are served to consumers who are using such online travel agencies (OTAs) as Expedia, Priceline and TripAdvisor, as well as those who follow Travel Nevada on Instagram.

As with other marketing efforts, this new creative was built on a results-driven strategic program that compels consumer purchase decisions through the effective use of key marketing and sales avenues.
