Nevada headlines Tourism section in Folha de S. Paulo — Brazil’s biggest newspaper

Our Brazil PR and Marketing team awoke on December 1 with some exciting news: Nevada made the cover of the tourism supplement of Folha de S. Paulo, the most widely circulated newspaper in Brazil with a combined print and online readership that exceeds 20 million per month. The feature included a stunning cover photo and centerfold article tantalizing Brazilian travelers with images and descriptions of adventures in Nevada, old west towns, movies filmed in NV, Indian culture, museums, Lake Tahoe, Reno, Tonopah, Carson City, Valley of Fire State Park, and many other places. The piece also appeared online on the Tourism Homepage and in the images carousel. (Currently, you can view it here.) The pieces were written by Brazilian journalist Walter Porto, who was the Division of Tourism’s guest at the 2016 Nevada Governor’s Global Tourism Summit and on the preceding Indian Culture FAM trip.
