COVID-19 Rural Recovery Grants will open at 8 a.m. Sept. 30
Travel Nevada was approved for Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) to aid in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The agency will distribute $1.65 million of those funds through its COVID-19 Rural Recovery Grant Program to help municipalities and nonprofit organizations promote that they are safe and open for visitors. This grant program differs significantly from previous Travel Nevada grant programs.

Grant workshops will be provided. Each workshop will contain the same content: review of guidelines; eligibility; and the application. Each workshop will be hosted virtually via Zoom on the following dates:
- Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 3 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m.
- Friday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m.
The COVID-19 Rural Recovery Grant application will open at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30 and will close at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18. Any awarded funds must be expended by Dec. 30, 2020 due to federal requirements. Attendance at a grant workshop is highly recommended due to significant changes and abbreviated time frame.
