Travel Nevada Promotes Keelie Cox as the New Chief Marketing Officer 

RENO, NV – The Nevada Division of Tourism (Travel Nevada) announces the internal promotion of Keelie Cox to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), where she will oversee Travel Nevada’s paid media, brand management, and digital marketing efforts. 

With more than a decade of experience in tourism marketing, Cox brings extensive industry knowledge, strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach to destination promotion. Throughout her career, she has focused on elevating Nevada’s story through strategic partnerships and creative storytelling. 

 “This well-deserved promotion to CMO advances Cox to the helm of the marketing department, leading a talented team of creative professionals who are dedicated to elevating Nevada tourism as a destination management organization,” said Rafael Villanueva, CEO of Travel Nevada. “She brings a strong understanding of our industry, a creative approach to storytelling, a passion for our state, and a proven ability to connect travelers with the unique experiences that make Nevada unforgettable.” 

Keelie holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Economics, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno. Her leadership has helped drive several of Travel Nevada’s recent campaigns and paid media projects, including its Paranormal Passport and Space to Be activation, along with paid content partnerships with Outside and National Geographic.
