Travel Nevada Announces New International Sales and Public Relations Specialist

Travel Nevada has hired Yennifer Reyes Callen as its international sales and public relations specialist, handling several of the state’s key international outreach programs.


CARSON CITY, Nev. — Travel Nevada has hired Yennifer Reyes Callen as its international sales and public relations specialist, handling several of the state’s key international outreach programs.

Reyes Callen comes to the position with seven years in leisure sales management, marketing development, finance and client relations. In her role at Travel Nevada — the Nevada Division of Tourism — she will coordinate Travel Nevada’s partnerships with Brand USA, the national organization that promotes international travel to the United States. Reyes Callen also will assist with familiarization and press tours for international sales and media partners as well as coordinate Travel Nevada’s sales and media marketplace events, connecting international buyers and media with statewide suppliers in the travel industry at the Governor’s Global Tourism Summit.

“International visitors are a growing segment of Nevada’s tourism profile, and Travel Nevada is preparing to meet the demands of this expanding market with the addition of Yennifer to our team,” Claudia Vecchio, director of the Nevada Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, said. “We are very pleased to have such a respected member of Reno’s tourism professionals join our team as we look forward to drawing more international visitors to the Silver State.” 

Travel Nevada actively promotes the state in the international arena, and has representation in nine countries: Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Australia, South Korea and India. In addition, Travel Nevada is currently seeking representation in China.

Before joining Travel Nevada, Reyes Callen worked in sales and leisure sales at three Reno resort properties: Silver Legacy Resort & Casino, Grand Sierra Resort and Circus Circus Hotel & Casino. She has extensive experience handling convention groups, as well as an understanding of budget management, marketing segment reports and production strategies. Reyes Callen also has extensive experience in client relations.

Reyes Callen holds an associate degree in marketing from Truckee Meadows Community College and has completed the Dale Carnegie sales training program. She is also fluent in Spanish.

The Nevada Division of Tourism is part of the Nevada Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs.
