Shelly Capurro

Shelly Capurro is a Partner with Tom Clark Solutions.  As a Nevada native, Shelly has experienced much of the state. She traveled throughout Nevada as a youth on the campaign trail with her parents, which led to her lifelong love of the state and politics.  After several years in the healthcare industry, Shelly spent almost a decade as an awarded residential and commercial real estate sales and master-planned development expert.  She then followed her passions and served in the public sector helping run Nevada’s Election Division for two elections under Secretary of State Ross Miller. Since 2010, Shelly has tackled issues representing various industries at the Nevada Legislature and has represented a national telecommunications carrier for a decade. Shelly has enjoyed working on various pieces of legislation directly impacting Nevada tourism, including event ticketing, cannabis, ridesharing, and stadiums. 

In 2023, Shelly led the planning of an international conference, where she learned first-hand a conference’s perspective of hosting and experiencing Las Vegas.    Along with many of her family members, Shelly is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno.  Her daughters are also alumni and are now each furthering their education with what they’ve learned from UNR. Committed to giving back, Shelly spent several years working with St. Vincent’s, has served on the board of the Sierra Nevada Chapter of National Charities League, has taught at the University of Nevada, Reno, and is currently focused on working with organizations assisting foster children.
