Mike Larragueta

President and CEO of the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, Mike Larragueta has 30 years of experience in the gaming, travel and hospitality industry. Larragueta works closely with the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority and the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada, among other regional stakeholders and hoteliers, to increase support for additional air service and to bolster Reno Tahoe’s reputation as a region experiencing dramatic growth. Overseeing all components of the premier Destination Marketing Organization in Northern Nevada, Larragueta is also responsible for operating the four major event venues in Washoe County: the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, the Reno Events Center, the National Bowling Stadium, and the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center. Larragueta’s extensive background in the travel industry includes more than 12 years of executive hotel experience at Las Vegas resorts, including The Venetian, Palazzo, Hard Rock, and The Palms, as well as time in the Bahamas as the corporate vice president of global distribution for Baha Mar Casino & Hotel. A Winnemucca native, Larragueta is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno.
