Annette Kerr is an accomplished Executive Director of the Elko Convention & Visitors Authority, where she tirelessly advocates for her community, and tourism, and promotes the beauty and opportunities of Elko. As a first-generation American, Annette’s journey is deeply rooted in her family’s values, instilling in her a profound appreciation for the United States and the belief that challenging work leads to success.
With over 40 years in the tourism industry, Annette has been influenced by a diverse array of people, and careers, including the CEO of 11 hotels, 3 casinos, an airline, owning her hotel, and other businesses. She was the Elko County Emergency Manager for several years. These experiences and people have shaped her worldview, inspiring her to cultivate compassion, gratitude, and respect. Annette finds joy in the growth and development of those around her and is eager to contribute positively to Elko’s visitor’s journeys.
Among her most rewarding experiences are the moments shared with her children as they blossom into compassionate adults. She treasures the fulfillment of her involvement in community initiatives, such as participating in search and rescue operations, helping find a lost child, and providing gifts for families in need during the holiday season.
Annette passionately believes in the power of collaboration and unity within the community. She urges individuals to recognize themselves as part of the larger community fabric, emphasizing that working together can elevate the quality of life for everyone.
