Largest Fam Ever Tours Northern Nevada
Travel Nevada recently hosted the largest international fam in agency history. MMTGapnet, one of Brazil’s leading tour operators brought 140 of Brazil’s top tour groups to Northern Nevada to learn about the region and what to sell.
“The Mega-fam was a great opportunity for northern Nevada,” said Larry Friedman, Travel Nevada deputy director. “It has given us exceptional exposure in Brazil. Before they left we had already received incredible coverage on social media and traditional channels plus commitments of groups to the area from the agents. Other tour operators also took note. Our thanks to MMT for wanting to highlight the area after their visit in 2014. Thanks to all of our partners who were generous in their support and did a great job showcasing the destination.”
Fam participants had a busy week exploring Reno, Virginia City, the Carson Valley, and Lake Tahoe. They rounded out their tour with a reception, tour, and awards dinner at the Governor’s Mansion in Carson City.
