Rural Programs

Travel Nevada’s TNT Partner call is a monthly opportunity for DMOs, Territories, and tourism partners across the state to share ideas and best practices, hear the latest news and updates from Travel Nevada and other agencies, and learn about upcoming programs, grant funding, and sales missions.

Rural Marketing Grants help the communities in Nevada market their destination to potential visitors in an effort to generate overnight stays. Travel Nevada awards $1.5 million per year to rural partners for a variety of marketing projects including paid advertising, promotion of signature events, travel trade and consumer shows, tourism community assessments and production of video and image assets. Tourism related non-profit organizations are eligible to apply for funding in this program.

Destination Development is a long-range, tourism-based community planning program which enables Nevada’s rural communities to be intentional and strategic about growing their visitor economies. Communities that create a Destination Development plan will examine the intrinsic qualities of their destination and build an economic and marketing plan around those strengths.
