Tom Lester

Tom Lester is the Marketing and Sales Manager for the Elko Convention & Visitors Authority.  With over 19 years at the ECVA, he is well-versed in all aspects of tourism in Nevada, as well as the hospitality and gaming industry. Tom began his career in the hospitality industry working for various hotel properties in Florida and Colorado before moving back to Elko to work for Full House Inc. which encompassed four casino properties as the Director of Catering & Sales, including food and beverage operations for the University of Nevada Reno, Fire Science Academy. He also has served on several boards of the Elko Arts & Cultural Advisory Board, Carlin Equestrian and Event Center Board, and the Elko Chamber of Commerce. Tom is also the chair of Cowboy Country Territory promoting and marketing all the communities from West Wendover to Lovelock along I-80 and other communities within the territory.

Tom is happily married to his wife, Karen, who has been in the mining industry for over 30 years and currently employed at Nevada Gold Mines. They have two children Blade & Amber and love spending time with their seven grandchildren.
