Canadian curling fans get hearty helpings of Nevada hospitality at ‘Hurry Hard and Come Back to Nevada, Eh!’ breakfast

Las Vegas, Nevada (January 17, 2016): If free pancakes, maple syrup and Canadian back bacon aren’t enough to make Canadian curling fans feel welcome in Nevada, then an all-expenses-paid trip back to the Silver State might do it.

The “Hurry Hard and Come Back to Nevada, Eh!” breakfast is hosted by Travel Nevada during the 2016 World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling, presented by Boyd Gaming.

This year’s WFG Continental Cup has already shattered records for the largest live curling event in U.S. history. Approximately 65,000 fans are expected to attend over the four-day event, eclipsing the 2014 event record set in Las Vegas of 51,215. Organizers estimate about 85% of the fans are from Canada.

Nevada loves Canadians — more than 1.7-million of them make the trip every year. Travel Nevada is reminding visitors there’s so much more to see and do throughout the state, from beautiful state parks to ghost town tours, to kayaking, bicycling and rock climbing.

Not only will there be great food at the “Hurry Hard and Come Back to Nevada, Eh!”, but guests will be able to win prizes at interactive stations featuring four “Worlds” of Nevada travel themes:

World of Wanderlust
If you like road trips, Nevada is the place to go — open highways, surprising pit stops and spectacular scenery. Pose for a photo by the “Extraterrestrial Highway.”

World of Adventure
Let’s get physical: hiking, mountain-biking, skiing, fishing, ATVs in the back country. “Hit the slopes” to claim your prize.

World of Originals
Think unconventional: things you’ve never seen before; a neon museum, Burning Man, plenty of art and creativity. Pose for a photo in a VW van with the International Car Forest of the Last Church as a backdrop.

World of Taste
Fantastic food and drink: from Basque country, to fine dining, to local diners and everything in between. Step inside our interactive Western saloon, try your luck to win some craft beer or Nevada swag!

But that’s not all.

One lucky couple will win an all-expenses-paid trip back to Nevada which includes return airfare, hotel accommodation in Las Vegas and Laughlin, dinners, a rental car, passes to CSI: The Experience at the MGM Grand, visits to Machine Guns Vegas, the Mob Museum of Las Vegas, the Monorail, a zip line ride, a tour of Wayne Newton’s house and much more.

The breakfast will be held in The Orleans Hotel & Casino, Mardi Gras Ballroom, 2nd level, Sunday January 17th, 9:30 until 11:00 a.m.

Guests will need to show their Continental Cup tickets to gain admission. Media are requested to sign in.
