Ryan Sheltra is general manager of the family-owned Bonanza Casino in Reno. A native Nevadan, Mr. Sheltra rose through the casino management ranks of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and Caesars Tahoe at Lake Tahoe. Mr. Sheltra served as a member of Gov. Jim Gibbons’ 2006 Gaming and Tourism Transition Team and was appointed a commissioner for the Nevada Commission on Tourism in 2007. He is a trustee of the Independent Gaming Operators Coalition that represents independently owned casinos statewide.
